Casa dos Assentos

     Casa dos Assentos is the main house of an ancient farm, separated now from agricultural activities, the property still covers an area of 2ha, totally converted into gardens and integrated in the "Turismo no Espaço Rural" (Rural Tourism Scheme) of the Alto Minho Region.

    Open to guests since 1984, within the concept of "Turismo de Habitação" at the main house only, in 1994 the remaining buildings and grounds were converted to tourism, offering two cottages one for four guests and another for six guests. 

The garden is very pleasant having two swimming polls with constant water renovation and a tennis court .

    Casa dos Assentos is in a very pleasant and central location making easy to explore all Portugal north region with short drives.

    Barcelos is right at the heart of the Minho, with Viana do Castelo beaches 25 km West, the Peneda Geres National Park 25 km East, Porto 70 km to the South, and the Spanish border only 70 km away.
